Although not mandatory, children are encouraged to participate in ballet exams starting from the age of 5 and upwards. Following the teaching methods of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), these examinations provide a structured pathway for students, whether pursuing dance as a leisure activity or aiming for a professional career as performers or dance teachers. The examination process fosters motivation and focus, giving children a sense of achievement when they pass and receive their official certificates. THE ISTD EXAMINATION STRUCTURE

JUNIOR ASSOCIATES
A select group of pupils has successfully attended the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associate programme, which aims to nurture young talent to pursue excellence in pre-full-time classical ballet. This programme is designed for children aged 9 to 13 years and includes weekly classes at the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden. Through this initiative, students receive exceptional training and support as they develop their ballet skills alongside regular dance classes.
